Privacy policy

Retirement Dates (retirementdates.com) is operated by SELC Enterprises, LLC ("we", "us"). It is a static website: there are no accounts, no sign-ins and no database of visitors. This policy explains what is and isn't collected, and by whom.
What you type into the tools
The planner and the other tools run entirely in your web browser, on your own device. The birth date, sign-up month or benefit amount you enter is never sent to us or to anyone else. It isn't stored on our servers, because there is nothing on our side to receive it. It isn't saved in your browser, and it isn't added to the page address, so it doesn't appear in your history, in links you share, or in any analytics or advertising report.
When you close or reload the page, what you typed is gone. When you print your dates, the printout is made by your own browser and printer.
Advertising and cookies
This site is funded by advertising served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to show ads and to measure them, and may use information about your visits to this and other websites to show ads that may interest you. The ad code never receives what you type into the tools.
You can turn off personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings. Industry opt-outs are at aboutads.info and youronlinechoices.eu. Google explains how it uses information from sites that show its ads at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Ads are not shown on this page, the about, contact and sources pages, or the error page.
Analytics
This site doesn't use Google Analytics or any other analytics service. If that changes, this section will say so before it starts.
Typefaces and hosting
The site's typefaces come from Google Fonts. To show them, your browser fetches them from Google's servers (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com), which receive your internet address and browser type, as any web server does. Google's privacy policy applies to those requests. The pages themselves are delivered by Amazon Web Services, whose servers likewise receive your internet address with each request.
If you email us, we receive your email address and what you write, and use them only to reply and, if you report an error, to correct the site. We don't add you to any list and don't share your message.
What we don't do
We don't sell or share personal information. We don't take referral fees and don't pass anyone's details to insurers, agents, brokers or advisers. We don't run lead forms.
Your rights
If you are in the UK, the European Union or the European Economic Area, the GDPR gives you rights over personal data about you, including access, correction and erasure, and the right to object. If you are in California, the CCPA gives you comparable rights, including the right to know what is collected and to opt out of its sale or sharing; this site doesn't sell personal information. Because we keep no accounts or records of visitors, we normally hold nothing to retrieve, but we will answer any request and point you to the outside services named above for data they hold.
Children
This site is written for adults planning for retirement and isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
Links to other sites
Pages here link to official sources such as Medicare.gov, CMS, the IRS, the Federal Register and the Code of Federal Regulations, and to a few news and research sites. Their own privacy policies apply when you visit them.
Changes
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, the date at the top changes with it.
